Rose Lear Ends Hunger Strike
on Day 30 (April 3)
Rose Lear in Congressman Hoekstra's Office
|
Rose Lear began her hunger strike on March 5 and ended it
April 3. She said she would not break her hunger strike until she receives an
official answer from Congress regarding a list of 537 questions that were officially
served on two separate occasions (April 15, 2002 and Nov. 8, 2002), and of which
Congress is in default for not responding. The questions are regarding what
appears to be unlawful enforcement of income tax laws against U.S. Citizens.
After receiving sufficient assurances from her congressman Pete Hoekstra that he would
help her get the answers she requested, she consented to end her fast. Now it is
time to put pressure on Senator Hatch's office. He is chair of the Judiciary
committee, which is the relevant office pertaining to this issue. We need to put
on the heat so we can get these questions answered.
